Hello my dear readers! 💖 It’s sad to tell you this but this will be my last post in this blog. Since this post is my final post for my Current Issues in Teaching course I want to talk about this course and what I did in this course. So, let's look at what I have done so far. Before taking this course, I wasn’t very familiar with integrating technology into English language teaching. However, this semester has introduced me to a wide variety of tools and approaches such as AR/VR, AI, corpus-based materials, and the flipped classroom. I’ve learned not only how to use these tools but also about their strengths and weaknesses. While they can enhance learning, they also come with challenges, for example, the complexity of some tools like COCA. In general, I didn’t see this course as an obligation or something I had to take. This week, we were supposed to integrate AI into teaching materials. For this task, as usual, I worked with my friends  Nisa Elmas, Bilge Dilara Doğan, and Polat Öztürk. While creating, we used Google’s AI assistant, Gemini, in its “Live” mode. Students are to interact with Gemini to plan their dream vacation abroad. This time, we’re diving into the world of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR)! 🌍✨   AR and VR are two very effective tools that are changing the way we learn and experience things.
