AR-VR Integrated Learning

How are you all doing? I hope you’re doing great!  


I’m back with another exciting and fun topic to share with you all. This time, we’re diving into the world of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR)! 🌍✨  


AR and VR are two very effective tools that are changing the way we learn and experience things. While AR enhances the real world by adding digital elements, VR lets you immerse yourself in a completely virtual world. Sounds cool, right? Well, this week in our Current Issues in Teaching course, our task is designing a teaching material that integrates AR and VR to create a unique learning experience.

We decided to take our learners on a virtual trip to Rome, the capital of Italy. We prepared a handout included a virtual tour of famous landmarks like the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, and the Museo di Roma. We used 360-degree videos and a QR code to make it interactive and engaging. Also, of course, we couldn’t forget about food! We wanted to add a cultural twist and delicious “Cacio e Pepe”, a traditional Roman dish. 


The best part in our material is that students would imagine they’d visited these places and write their own travel diary! 📝 Creating the handout was quite a fun experience, but choosing the city was definitely the hardest part since there were so many attractive options.  


I had so much fun working on this task with my friends. I can’t wait for our next project!

  Hello, my dear readers!💖 Today we are going to talk about collaborative writing.  This week we were assigned to make a collaborative writing. With Bilge and Nisa we decided to write a film review about the movie 'Shutter Island'.  In my opinion, Shutter Island is a masterpiece with its' every detail and it definitely is a must-see movie. We chose this movie because we all had watched it before and we wanted the choose a movie whose review might encourage readers to watch it. Hello, my dear readers!💖 It is sad to tell you this but this will be my last post in this blog.  Since this post is my final post for my Instructional Technologies in Material Design course I want to talk about this course and what I did in this course. So, let's look at what I have done so far.  Before taking this course I actually had almost no idea about the integration of technology in English language teaching. I've learned many web pages, AI tools, educational apps and so much more to use in my future assignments and classes when I became a teacher. I also learned that all these tools have both good and bad sides. We can get help from them but they can sometimes make our tasks more challenging and the informations we collect from them might not be reliable.  In general, I didn't see this course and the tasks as something I am forced to take as some of my other courses. :( Instead, this was a great course that taught me lots of things that I can use in the future.       Hello, my dear readers! 💖   It is nice to see you all again after a short break. 😊 Today we are going to talk about digital storytelling. What is it? Digital storytelling is a way of telling story which combines the art of storytelling with multimedia features such as photography, text, audio, voiceover, hypertext and video. Digital tools and software make it easy and convenient to create a digital story. This week, we were assigned to create a digital story for our Instructional Technologies and Material Design course.
