Image
Hello, my dear readers!💖 Today we are going to talk about collaborative writing.  This week we were assigned to make a collaborative writing. I worked on this task with my friends Nisa Elmas and Bilge Dilara DoÄŸan. They also have blogs, so you can click here if you want to see Nisa's blog and here for Bilge's blog. We had two options for our writings, the first one was writing a film review and the second one was writing on a global issue. With Bilge and Nisa we decided to write a film review about the movie 'Shutter Island'.  In my opinion, Shutter Island is a masterpiece with its' every detail and it definitely is a must-see movie. We chose this movie because we all had watched it before and we wanted the choose a movie whose review might encourage readers to watch it. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to watch a whole movie as a group, so we had to choose one which all of us had watched before. Our task included summarizing the film, expressing our idea...

Hello, my dear readers! 💖   It is nice to see you all again after a short break. 😊 Today we are going to talk about digital storytelling. What is it? Digital storytelling is a way of telling story which combines the art of storytelling with multimedia features such as photography, text, audio, voiceover, hypertext and video. Digital tools and software make it easy and convenient to create a digital story. This week, we were assigned to create a digital story for our Instructional Technologies and Material Design course. Our teacher gave us three options and we picked the fictional story among them. It was a pair work so we collaborated with my close friend Nisa Elmas. She also has a blog, if you are interested,  you can visit her blog by clicking here  clicking here.     Let's talk about my experiences.   We chose fictional story because we thought that it would be fun to create our brand-new story and make a digital story o...

Hello, my dear readers!💖 Today we are going to talk about podcasting.  The terms "ipod" and "broadcasting" combine to generate the word "podcast." You are free to discuss whatever subject you like on your podcast. It is an audio digital file. It can be used for entertainment as well as education. This week we were assigned to make a podcast for our Instructional Technologies and Material Design course. Our teacher gave us three options. First one was creating a vox-pop, second one was improving the world and the third one was a sound-rich story.  Vox-pop's are supposed to be two minutes or below.  My friend Nisa Elmas and I decided to make a vox-pop since it was a pair work and it took our attention. She  also has a blog which I think has a very attractive design and interesting blog writes. If you are interested you can click here   to visit her blog.  For this podcast we interviewed ten people in our ELT department. Our questio...

Evil on the Internet:Cyberbullying

Image
Hello, my dear readers!💖 Welcome back to another informational post. Today we will talk about cyberbullying, what is it and how can we prevent it.   For this week in our Instructional Technologies and Material Design course, we were supposed to create an informational infographic. We had four topic options and I wanted to talk about cyberbullying.  Cyberbullying can be defined as the act of embarrassing, hurting, mocking, threatening, or being rude to someone online through the use of computers, smartphones, or other linked devices.  For making this infographic I used Canva which is a tool for graphic designs.  Since Canva had a separate part for infographic designs it wasn't a hard task for me to create it. But I couldn't easily decide which template should I use or which colors would be good together, so deciding these actually took most of my time. :) In the English classroom, infographics can improve visual literacy through data analysis, simplify com...
